John 13:34-35

New International Version

34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

We as people of God must show love to all kinds of folks. I know doing our lifetime some causes us to shake our heads in disgust, but remember we still must love others regardless of the things they do to us. When reading John 3:16 of the bible, I see where God loved us and gave His Son to die for our sins. Yes, that’s a big one. Did we deserve this gift? We make mistakes daily, yet God loves us.

Leaving The Past Behind

Forgetting what is behind . . . I press on . . . to win the prize for which God has called me. . . .

Philippians 3:13-14

Some memories cling to us like shadows—our failures, our regrets, our missed opportunities. We replay them over and over, wondering what we could have done differently.

But the truth is that we can’t change the past. Even so, we don’t have to let it shape our present and our future.

Paul had a past too. Before becoming an apostle, he persecuted the church. If anyone had reasons to carry guilt, it was him. But instead of being paralyzed by his past, Paul focused forward—not because he was perfect but because he was forgiven. The Lord’s amazing grace gives us permission to let go.

Leaving the past behind isn’t about denial. It’s about refusing to let it define you. God is doing something new, and looking backward too long can make you miss what’s right in front of you.

Dec 7 2025

1 john 5:14

"And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us"

Lord, I need this new car, new house, and plenty money-thank you.

I thought about this and wondered why some people never got what they requested. Was this in the will of God? Well God gave you a car, and a place to lay your head. He gave you food to eat. Hey, am I wrong he did give you what you needed. Asking God for things must be according to His will.

Jan 6 2026

Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power,
and the glory are yours
now and for ever.
Amen.

Our citizenship.               Jan 2 2026

Philippians 3:20 says, “For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.” That means we are not citizens of earth who are going to heaven; we are citizens of heaven who are traveling through earth. The new home forever with Jesus is the only way for all us believers.

Keep praying                Dec 30 2025

Colossians 4:2 "Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving".

Philippians 4:6-"do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God".

Satan would love to keep you from praying because He knows that prayer is your attachment to the source of all. Satan knows that praying regularly helps you to grow in your faith. He constantly distracts you. Help me to be wise, Holy Spirit, to discern these distractions and refocus my thoughts on God in prayer. In Jesus name, amen.

Trusting in God.                   Dec 23 2025.

Today's Devotional

The stray cat mewed pitifully, stopping me in my tracks. I had just walked past a pile of food that someone had carelessly discarded on the ground. Wow, God's provided a meal for this hungry cat, I thought. The food was hidden behind a nearby pillar, so I tried to lure the emaciated cat to it. It moved toward me trustingly—then stopped and refused to follow me further. I wanted to ask, Why don’t you trust my directions? There’s a whole meal waiting for you!

Then it struck me: Don’t I act similarly in my relationship with God? How often have I responded to His directions thinking, I do trust You, God, but I don’t think Your instructions are reliable—not realizing that His divine provision might be waiting right around the corner.

God’s paths are trustworthy, for He loves us and has our best interests at heart. “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you,” He tells us (Psalm 32:8). Yet He doesn’t treat us like animals that need to be controlled (v. 9). He desires for us to follow Him willingly and promises His everlasting presence as we do so: “The Lord’s unfailing love surrounds the one who trusts in him” (v. 10). All we need to do is just keep following Him, knowing that He’ll be with us every step of the way.

ITS ENOUGH                 Dec 14 2025

It’s Enough.

In the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible, 2 Corinthians 12:9 reads: "

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

You are having a tough time, and it is getting tougher. Read that verse above and know God is always there for you. Yes, it’s enough that Gods knows you and your problem.

The prayer                    Dec 13 2025

Mighty God, when we face life’s unexpected twists and turns, we find refuge in your presence. Help us to trust in your sovereignty and promises. Fill us with peace, knowing that you will guide us through every storm. May we stand firm in faith, knowing that you are in control. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

God strenght .                                 Dec 9 2025

Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Philippians 4:13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength. Psalms 133:1 It is good and pleasant to the Lord when his people live in unity.

This can be you. Don’t try to live for future, but one day at a time. Some people take on several days at once and soon has anxiety problems. Slow down and pray to God for he will supply your needs. Living in unity with others, sharing the Good News of being saved.

Cave experiences.                          Nov 28 2025.

"I cry aloud to the LORD; I lift up my voice to the LORD for mercy. I pour out before him my complaint; before him I tell my trouble" (Psalm 142:1-2).

Hiding in a cave because I am afraid. Sometimes you may find yourself in a cave, trying to escape those who want to hurt you. This was David, also could be you right now. The problem God knows where you at and is waiting for you to find yourself. Get down on your knees and pray to God for deliverance. Cave experiences happen to many people and getting rid of it is hard for some. This is what you should do-pray.

Thankful                Nov 21 2025

Dear God, we thank you for allowing us to awake up and start out for today. God please be with us and let us always be assured that you have never left us. In the close of today, as night comes, let us lay down to sleep in your care Amen.Dear God, we thank you for allowing us to awake up and start out for today. God please be with us and let us always be assured that you have never left us. In the close of today, as night comes, let us lay down to sleep in your care Amen.

God has our back.                      Nov 18 2025

Psalm 18:30 states that

God's way is perfect, His word is flawless, and He is a shield for those who trust in Him. This verse highlights the dependability and perfection of God and His promises, offering reassurance and a sense of security to individuals who seek refuge in Him.

David knew that God is the source of his safety. He found out when you trust God and do His will, He keeps you from everything that may hurt you. Without a doubt God is our salvation, David was convince of this.

Humble yourself.                    Nov 11 2025

1 Peter 5:6

King James Version

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.

Want to feel good about yourself. knowing that you have finally come to understand that a person must humble their selves before God. Yes, a good starting point to know Gods will for you. God blesses the person who submits their time, life, talent time to Him. He will exalt you because you humble yourself to Him.

Stand strong.                   Nov 6 2025

Yet if any man suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God on this behalf. You may be having it tough, but if you are saved, God will bless you with eternal life.

Let’s us pray this prayer. Dear God, I trust you with my life. Mold and shape me to stand up for right and teach me to live according to your word. Amen.

All about you.                Oct 21 2025

God, we thank you for life and all that you have given us to glorify your name. We can’t get enough of telling you how much we are depending on the Strength and everyday guidance that gives to all who loves you. Lord God, we humbly ask you to touch the lives of all the people knowing that our daily substance comes from you. God until that day we will be with you in heaven continue to touch us with power to tell men and women that it’s all about you. Amen.

THe struggle                          Sept 29 2025

All life is a struggle—that is the nature of things. Even within our physical bodies, doctors tell us, a conflict for supremacy is going on. The bacteria in our bloodstream are waging a constant war against alien germs. The red corpuscles fight the white corpuscles constantly in an effort to maintain life within the body. A battle is also raging in the spiritual realm. “We fight,” the Bible says, “against the rulers of the darkness of this world.” Darkness hates light. I have a dog that would rather dig up a moldy carcass to chew on than to have the finest, cleanest meal. He can’t help it—that is his nature. Men cannot help that it is their nature to respond to the lewd, the salacious, and the vile. They will have difficulty doing otherwise until they are born again. And until they are changed by the power of Christ, they will likely be at enmity against those who are associated with Christ.

God done it for you.                  Sept 11 2025

God is the one who gave you your talents, and he gave them to you for a reason. He knows the potential that you have and knows that you are capable of great things. Trust in him and let him lead you.

Do it with love.                                     Aug 24 2025

Colossians 3:17 says, "And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Things we do in this life should be centered on the love for people. Try your best to point people in the way of God. Showing them that loving one another like the Bible says, is for real. Meet and greet with a smile full of compassion and willing to support. We should never be people that think that its all about self, but its all about Jesus Christ.

Joshua 1:9                             Aug 15 2025

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will go with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

We Christians sometimes start to look back instead of ahead. We sometimes feel scared and get ourselves into a doubtful situation. Some of us need to go and read this verse for assurance.

Ephesians 2:8-9        July 11 2025

"For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast" says the Bible.

“Wow” This is so true. We don’t have to work for it, saved money for it or look for this saving power of God. God and God alone have given this those who has accepted Jesus Christ as their only savior. Those who has come by faith believing in this great plan of salvation.

Think on this.           July 7 2025

If you hear a voice saying, “Who are you to say you’re a Christian after all you’re done?” remember these powerful words which echo today’s passage: ‘There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” [Romans 8:1].

When we are going thru trails.            July 1 2025

The Israelites wandering in the desert had no food or water, and they were afraid. But they trusted God, and He provided for them. They trusted God to keep His promises, even when it seemed impossible. We can learn from their example to trust God in our own wilderness seasons.

Stand up fot God                     June 21 2025

A great problem in America is that we have an anemic and watered-down Christianity that has produced an anemic, watered-down, and spineless Christian who is not willing to stand up and be counted on every issue. We must have a virile, dynamic, aggressive Christian who lives Christ seven days a week, who is ready to die, if necessary, for his faith. We need Christians who are ethical, honest, gracious, bold, strong, and devoted followers of the Lord Jesus Christ.

God Will do it for you.               June 16 2025

Dear Lord, grant me the faith to know that You are good all the time, even during the most difficult circumstances of this life. When I am weak, lift me up. Enable me to accept the love and comfort from others who love me but let me rely on Your everlasting love for me. In Jesus' Name, Amen

Trust in God           May 22 2025

" Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.  Proverbs 3:5

I think that as we our Christian Called life in Christ, we learn to trust God. I know we may have this trust in Him as a young person but living and years of trails and disappointments bring closeness and complete trust.

Share the word.                 April 8 2025

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son for our sins. Whoever shall believe in Him shall never perish but have everlasting life.

As a Christian we are supposed to share Godââ'¬â"¢s word with others. There may a fear in you that trying to prevent you from telling others about Jesus Christ, but its our duty to tell other about the saving power of God. Prayerfully ask God for strength to carry out our mission.

We go through things.                 April 3 2028

More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and enduarnce produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because Gods love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

Romans 5:3-5

We as Christians have days when it looks like there is no answers for our problems. We must be strong, steadfast and give our best to please God. Our hope is built upon Jesus Christ. The harder its gets, the more we pray.

Attitude                        March 25 2025

The Bible conveys the idea that our attitude is in the realm of our responsibility. In other words, we can do something about it. What has been your disposition and general tone lately? How has your attitude been coloring your character? Have you been Christlike? Of course, we all fall short of

Be like Christ                       March 13 2025

Living like Christ means emulating his teachings and example by demonstrating love, humility, compassion, and obedience to God, while serving others and seeking to glorify Him in all aspects of life.

Get up in the morning thanking God for life asking Him in prayer to help you to see others needs. Something that we must do is read the word of God first putting the devil to flight. I said that for Satan get up and he will attack your testimony.

Prayer:                  March 10 2025

"Lord, I bring my daily problems to You with gratitude. Help me to see Your hand in everything and to trust in Your guidance. Give me wisdom and strength to face my challenges, and fill my heart with peace and hope. Amen."

God will.                                     March 6 2025

Psalm 46:10: "Be still, and know that I am God"

Going through a rough time in your life. Things looks like trouble is headed your way and you are desperate. The one advice is found in the word of God, stand firm on His promises God will help you.

Voice of God                    feb 28 2024

1st Timothy 1:19-Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away, concerning faith have made shipwreck:

Thank you for that inside voice that points me in the direction of doing what is right and avoiding what is wrong. And thank you, Sprit, for sensitizing me to sin. When I am tempted to do what I know is wrong, Lord, give me the strength to respond in a way that honors you. Please help me chose the right path and keep my conscience clear.

Going all the way with God                              Feb 27 2025

"Dear God, we come before you today feeling heavy with the burdens we carry. We know that you are our rock and our refuge, and we ask for your strength to navigate through these challenging times. Please fill our hearts with your peace and remind us of your unfailing love."

  • Scripture Reading:

Psalm 23:4 "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me."

  • Reflection:

This verse reminds us that even when we face darkness and uncertainty, God is always by our side, providing guidance and comfort. Just like a shepherd protects their sheep, God will never leave us alone in our struggles.

  • Personal Application:

Think about a time in your life when you felt particularly alone or scared, and how God's presence helped you through that situation. How can you apply this same trust in God to the challenges you are facing now?

  • Prayer:

"Lord, as we face these difficulties, we choose to trust in your faithfulness. Please grant us the strength to endure, the wisdom to make good decisions, and the hope that comes from knowing you are always with us. Thank you for your never-ending love and grace. Amen."

 Isaiah 40:31                 Feb 24 2025

"But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint"

Learn how to wait on the Lord. Theyââ'¬â"¢re going to be trails, heartaches, and look as though no hope coming, but wait on the Lord. He is never late, but on time.

  Isaiah 41:10
"Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

I know there are many people that are trying hard to make it through the day. They work from early in the morning until late at night. They come home hear the family problems and try to answer many questions. This is the way it goes day after day until you retire for the night. During the night you toss from side to side, waking up just to think, what a day this have been.

There is a place we can get help to manage, work, family and problems that comes with life. Jesus has opened the door for you and me. Come in sit down and hear Jesus speak these words too you; I am just a prayer away, call me and I will answer.

We got it.                 Feb 2 2025

Eternal Security; lock in; can never be taken from me. Wow this is for you and me; donââ'‰"¢t have to worry anymore about where we spend eternity.

I know that is a strong statement. There are people that will not agree, but I search, prayed and have been convicted that when we fully submit to the finishing work of Jesus Christ itââ'¬â"¢s a done deal.

I believe that Jesus Christ saved me from my sins, because I accepted Him as Lord and Savior. Yes its that easy, but some want to add other things to obtain salvation; I have to tell them no.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it in the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8,9.

This part I loved if itââ'¬â"¢s a gift, God does not take it back. We are adopted into His family.

John 10:27 Lead Us to Listen to the Voice of God.            Jan 31 2025

And so, to live today, listening to His voice in His word and then, following His voice as He leads us by His spirit according to His word. God, we praise you for the privilege of being your sheep, of hearing your voice, knowing your voice, and you, knowing us.

The sheep of Christ.

You remember how He speaks of His own in John 10:27-30: "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me: and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of My hand. [Letââ'¬â"¢s look at this for a minute.] My sheep hears me-real sheep-not sometime sheep-not just on Sunday, but my sheep. The sheep that came to me to have their sins washed away, My sheep

When there is silent.            Jan 23 2024

Proverb 3:6  says, "In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.". This verse essentially states that if you seek God's will in all aspects of your life, He will guide you on the correct path.

The right pathway.

The Path we take will determine our future. We choose various paths -routes for places where we want to go and visit. Many times, the family and I pack up the suitcases and set our destination, using a GPS. What I like about the GPS is it get us there most of the time.

Most of the time getting lost on wrong road, the GPS say wrong path. Wrong path, but GPS supposed to know the correct pathway. This is a problem today, because people are depending on other things to get them on the correct path.

Psalms 25: 4-5 says, show me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths. Lead me in thy truth and teach me: for thou art God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all day.

Colossians 3:17:

  • "And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."

Thankful for everything.             Jan 19 2024

We wake up in the morning and do the little things to get ready for the day. Some of us have jobs and some are looking for a job. There is some that donÃÆ'Ã'¢Ã¢'Ã'¬Ã¢"Ã'¢t care about a job; nevertheless, the day is started.

What I have learned from the word of God is to be thankful for everything. I am thankful to God for enabling me to work and clothes myself and thankful for those who are not thankful.

Be thankful to God for whatever you have in life, because there are people who are in need but never get it.

My sheep                   Jan 18 2024

You remember how He speaks of His own in John 10:27-30: "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me: and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of My hand. [Lets look at this for a minute.] My sheep hears me-real sheep-not sometime sheep-not just on Sunday, but my sheep. The sheep that came to me to have their sins washed away, My sheep.v

1 Peter 2:24

"He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By his wounds you are healed".

Jesus done it all-job fully complete. We could not get out of the situation that sin placed us into. Caught in a vice with a cry for get me out and Lord please heal me. Thank God for He heard and delivered all that accept His Son Jesus Christ. At the cross I received all the benefits. Yes, itÃÆ'Ã'¢Ã¢'Ã'¬Ã¢"Ã'¢s a good feeling to know it all done with no strings attached, only believe and trust in Jesus.

Dec 21 2024                                  Overcome fear.

We have heard the modern expression, "Don't fight itÃÆ'Ã'¢Ã¢'Ã'¬"it's bigger than both of us." Those who are meek do not fight back at life. They learn the secret of surrender or yielding to God. He then fights for us! Instead of filling your mind with resentments, abusing your body by sinful diversion, and damaging your soul by willfulness, humbly give all over to God. Your conflicts will disappear, and your inner tensions will vanish into thin air. Then your life will begin to count for something. You will have the feeling of belonging to life. Boredom will melt away, and you will become vibrant with hope and expectation. Because you are meekly yielded, you will begin to "inherit the earth" of good things, which God holds in store for all who trust Him with their all.

Starting this week                                 Dec 15 2024

Lord, I pray for the grace to remember You in every moment of my week. Help me to acknowledge Your presence, seek Your guidance, and honor You in my thoughts, words, and actions. May my entire week be an act of worship to You. I commit this week to Your loving hands, trusting that Your plan for me is perfect.

Colossians 1:23             Dec 11 2024

Dear Father,

Help me to continue in the faith by holding on to what you have given and by being stable and steadfast.

Don't let anything move me away from the hope of the Good News which I heard, which was proclaimed throughout the whole creation under heaven.

You make my endurance possible by filling me with your Spirit. Fill me more and more! And thank you for being my Father.

In the name of Jesus and by his authority I ask. Amen.

Faith                                     November 19 2024

Matthew 21:22 - And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith. Luke 1:37 - For nothing will be impossible with God. 2 Corinthians 5:7 - For we walk by faith, not by sight. Romans 10:17 - So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.

There are people who struggles each day. They get themselves in situations without even trying. Wondering and asking-what did I do to get into this mess? Living a life without faith in God is not a good choice, but many do it. I think if a person put God first, believing and trust Him faithfully, help will be there. I believe that God is just a prayer away. Start walking the faith road and watch the changes in your life.

Refuge                                             November 13 2024

Psalm 18:1-5"I love you, Lord, my strength. "The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

God can do it for you. Surrender the cares of the world that trying to hold you down. Live the day that God provides for you. One day at a time is all you can handle. God will not leave you. Rest in assurance that God gives strength to you in times of trouble.

For us.                               Nov 1 2024

Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! ÃƒÆ'Ã'¢Ã¢'Ã'¬" Psalm 34:8 (NKJV)

What is your favorite food? Have you ever given any thought to how that food become your favorite? Most of us simply tried new food, realized it was amazing, and now it's our favorite.

The same is true with getting to know God. To really get to know Him, you've got to try Him. Obviously, you can't try God like you would try the food, but you can get to know Him. You can pray, read your Bible, listen to teaching on YouTube, or a Podcast, and find out for yourself that He's good.

The closer you get to God the more you realize that you can trust Him. God isn't up one day and down the next. He doesn't have days when He likes you and days when He doesn't. God is always the same. He's faithful, and as you get to know Him, you begin to trust Him more.

Keeping others first.                    Oct 24 2024

Philippians 2:3-4 in the Bible tells us to consider others by valuing them above ourselves and looking out for their interests:

Do people think about you as much as you think about them?

There are some cases or relationships where the amount of mental space taken up in a person's mind isn't reciprocated. "Maybe your mom really does think about you more than you think about her, sadly this is a problem in this world. I believe our thoughts of others should be fill will prospering and success.

Helping others is our job.               Oct 12 2024

The Bible has many teachings about the importance of helping others. One of the most well-known passages is found in Matthew 25:35-40 where Jesus says, "For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me... Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me."

The Bible also emphasizes the importance of generosity and compassion towards others. In James 2:14-17, it says, "What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, 'Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,' but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead."

Overall, the Bible teaches that helping others is not only a moral obligation but also an expression of faith and love. By serving those in need, we demonstrate our commitment to God's values and show compassion to those who are less fortunate.

God is what we trust in our lives.                Oct 11 2024

Trusting God with our future means it's equally important for us to allow Him to heal us from the pain of our past as well.

"We can bury the pain of our past but it doesn't mean it's dead."

Trusting God requires us to walk through our experiences and pain with Him.

Sometimes I think we, as believers, shove our pain down and top it off with a great scripture and call it healing

Scripture was never meant to be a bandaid in our life. Merely holding us together. The Word of God, our relationship with Him, provides healing that has side effects of joy, peace, kindness, patience, and gentleness despite if that situation gets brought up again.

God will be there-wait.                        Oct 4 2024

Isaiah 40:31

"But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint." (ESV)

Tired and you don't know which way to turn. You have put all on the all before God; so you think. Cried all night and the tears don't give release. What a place to be, but God is still on the throne. Wait, wait on the Lord with full assurance that He will come in time.

Stand still for God               Sept 29 2024

How about standing still and waiting for God? In the Bible, we read a few occasions where God told His people to stand still: Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord (Exodus 14:13); Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth (Psalm 46:10).How about standing still and waiting for God?

Hope in God                              Sept 24 2024

Romans 15:13. "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Since God is the Author of our salvation, we can call Him the God of hope for He has given us hope. We must trust God at all times, knowing that He never fails nor forget we are His children.

God will do it for you.     Sept 24 2024

Dear Lord, grant me the faith to know that You are good all the time, even during the most difficult circumstances of this life. When I am weak, lift me up. Enable me to accept the love and comfort from others who love me, but let me rely on Your everlasting love for me. In Jesus' Name, Amen.v

God is our source.                     Sept 19 2024

Christians facing difficult situations today can take comfort in Jeremiah 29:11 knowing that it is not a promise to immediately rescue us from hardship or suffering, but rather a promise that God has a plan for our lives and regardless of our current situation, He can work through it to prosper us and give us a hope ...

Forever God.                      September 5th 2024

"Forever, O LORD, Your word is settled in heaven. Your faithfulness continues throughout all generations; You established the earth, and it stands. They stand this day according to Your ordinancesÃÆ'Ã'¢Ã¢'Ã'¬Ã'Ã'¦" My circumstances or feelings have not changed God.

My God your word in written in Heaven and I am glad it cannot be change. The things we go through will soon pass and in Heaven there will be peace and joy.

Press On!                  Aug 26 2024

"I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God
has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus." Philippians 3:14

Of all the Israelites, perhaps no one strove harder to please God than Saul of Tarsus.
Every area of his life conformed strictly to the Law. No one could accuse this respected
Pharisee of lacking zeal. He was a man with a mission-a mission to please and serve
God.

But on the road to Damascus, Saul's life changed entirely. From now on, he would no
longer try to please God himself. Instead, he would press on with the goal of knowing
Christ. "I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing
Christ Jesus my Lord." Philippians 3:8 (NIV emphasis added). Saul (now called Paul)
had a new mission-a mission that remained constant amid ever-changing circumstances.
It didn't matter whether he was preaching to a crowd or sitting in a damp prison.
Paul now had one goal before which everything in his life bowed. Paul wanted to know
his Lord.

How about you? Is knowing ChristÃÆ'Ã'¢Ã¢'Ã'¬"fellowshipping, trusting, and depending on Him-the
goal toward which you're striving? Ask God to help you press on to know Him today.

What does it mean to trust God at all times?        Aug 21 2014

To trust is to believe in the reliability, truth, ability or strength of something. So, when it comes to trusting God, that means believing in His reliability, His Word, His ability and His strength. The Bible says that God cannot lie. That He always keeps His promises. That He loves you and has good in store for you.

Trust in God                                     Aug 6 2024

Psalm 62:8 encourages us, "Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge" (NIV).

The Psalmist David knew that in order for him to lived and prosper he had to trust God. We are not David, but we must do the same. Life brings all sorts of things to us that causes pain and sometimes healing. Through all the trails we go through, trust God and He will bring us to a place where we can rest assured that He is always with us.

Have the mind of Christ.                   Aug 4 2024

Many diseases of both body and mind are self-inflicted. For example, ulcers are often caused by worry and anxiety. Heart attacks are caused many times by overexertion. Unjustified worry, fear, prejudice, hatred, and envy can contribute to mental stress, which could lead to mental illness. So one way to have a healthy mind is to avoid those practices. But the Bible way to a healthy mind is this, "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus." If you have the mind of Christ, worry will be offset by trust, enmity by love, and fear by faith.

In Gods care.                                                   July 23 2024.

As God's children, we are His dependents. The Bible says, "Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear Him." Dependent children spend little time worrying about meals, clothing, and shelter. They assume, and they have a right to, that all will be provided by their parents. Because God is responsible for our welfare, we are told to cast all our care upon Him, for He careth for us.

Because we are dependent upon God, Jesus said, "Let not your heart be troubled." God says, "I'll take care of the burdenÃÆ'Ã'¢Ã¢'Ã'¬"don't give it a thoughtÃÆ'Ã'¢Ã¢'Ã'¬"leave it to me." Dependent children are not backward about asking for favors. They would not be normal if they did not boldly make their needs known. God is keenly aware that we are dependent upon Him for life's necessities. It was for that reason that He said, "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you."

For you and me.                                 July 14 2024

One of the best ways to get rid of discouragement is to remember that Christ is coming again. The most thrilling, glorious truth in all the world is the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. When we look around and see pessimism on every side, we should remember the Bible is the only Book in the world that predicts the future. The Bible is more modern than tomorrow morning's newspaper. The Bible accurately foretells the future, and it says that the consummation of all things shall be the coming again of Jesus Christ to this earth. If your life is dismal, depressed, and gloomy today, Christ can turn those dark clouds inside out. The sunlight of His love can still shine into the darkest part of your life.

The why                           July 5 2024

There is still another vital aspect to the "why" of Jesus' departure. He said, "If I do not go away, the Helper (Paraclete) will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you." Jesus' departure was tied to Pentecost. There is no Pentecost without ascension. As the invested King of kings, Jesus had the authority together with the Father to send His Holy Spirit in a new and powerful way upon the church. Jesus spoke of a certain necessity of His leaving in order for the Spirit to come. Herein was another great advantage. He declared, "Ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost has come upon you" (Acts 1:8, KJV).

Two remarkable things happened to the disciples after Jesus departed. The first is that they "returned to Jerusalem with great joy" (Luke 24:52). They were not despondent over the departure of Jesus. Obviously they finally understood why He was leaving. They understood what, for the most part, the church since then has failed to understand. We live as if it would not have been better for Jesus to leave.

The second obvious change in the lives of the disciples was in their spiritual strength. After Pentecost, they were different people. No longer did they flee like sheep without a shepherd. Instead, they turned the world upside down. They turned the world upside down because they fully understood two simple things: the "where" and the "why" of Jesus' departure.

We need peace                             June 28 2024

Beyond all natural reasoning, I pray "the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" today, tomorrow and forever (Philippians 4:7, NIV). Thank You, Lord, that You are peace and You are with me.

We need the peace of God. This world is full of hate and people are killing each other. The peace all need is to spend time with God teaching us to love all people.

Luke 21:28 American Standard Version (ASV)       June 21 2024

Watching and looking.

But when these things begin to come to pass, look up, and lift up your heads; because your redemption draweth nigh.

Christians have something to gain for staying close to God. Prayer goes a long way, keeping  you in touch with God. Many things are happening today. People are doing whatever they want to do, not for pleasing God. Yes its coming to an end, look to the hills for help in own the way.

Peace                                                June 18 2024

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. Psalm 23:4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

In these days we need peace. Peace with those we have contact with. I am finding out more these days, that the people that is closer to you needs to learn to be peaceful. Thank God for his Son Jesus Christ who gives us peace if we want it.

The first family: Adam and Eve                  June 5 2024.

The very first people on earth formed a family. From the beginning, God blessed and encouraged families, commanding Adam and Eve to "be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth" (Genesis 1:28).

Honor thy father and mother

One of the?Ten Commandants ?given to Moses in the Old Testament speaks directly about the relationship between parents and children: "Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee" (Exodus 20:12).

Jesus taught about marriage

Jesus Christ taught that marriage is holy and essential to God's plan: "From the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; and they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder" (Mark 10:6ÃÆ'Ã'¢Ã¢'Ã'¬"9).

This is for us.                                                    June 3 2024

James 1:12Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. PRAY: Encourage me during this trial and give me the strength to persevere so that I may receive the crown of life!

God got my back.                               May 24 2024

NASB Daniel 6:23

Then the king was very glad and gave orders for Daniel to be lifted up out of the den. So Daniel was lifted up out of the den, and no injury whatever was found on him, because he had trusted in his God.

The Den of mistrust, hate, and mis-understood, because you trust in God. Yes, this can be us that knows God will deliver because we trust in Him. People have often tried to stamp out the work of God. We as Christians must keep doing the will of God at any cost.

Completly trust.                                                 May 23 2024

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6). And so it is with God. Drawing near to God requires first a quieting of the exterior so that we can quiet our interior.

I will be with you.                          May 21 2024

"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand" (Isaiah 41:10, NIV).

Trusting God and watch Him take care of your problems. There are many things in this life that we come up against. God will give us strength and take us out of situations. One day you will look back and say; "want He do it."

Psalm 14:2                                                     May 14 2024

Seeing you

The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.

If God look down upon you today, what will He see?

Friends we must do the things that pleases God. We are never to give in to satin. Study the Bible to understand how to live in Christ. We don't have to go searching around the corner for God-He just a prayer away.

For all Gods People.                                      Mat 11 2024

We praise you, Lord, as a powerful Creator, the source of truth and grace, and the giver of true freedom. Give us courage and discernment to follow you wholeheartedly, with commitment and strong faith.

May 4 2024              HOPE

Romans 8:24

For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

This hope began the moment we were saved. And then he goes on to explain a little bit about what "hope" is in verse 24. He says, "But hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he's already seen?" So, he's reminding us that all true hope is in what we cannot see. If we could see it, it wouldn't be hope.

Christian lived in this hope and we know all will come to be.

Helping others in the Church.

Philippians 4:3

King James Version                    May 3 2024.

And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life.

Earlier in the book Paul had address the problems of not getting along among two women. Now Paul is telling others to help them in every way. He tells them strongly that their names are in the book of life along with theirs also. The lesson for us is do all we can for the Church.
